Deborah
Born in New York City and raised in Montclair NJ, Deborah Larson was educated in the public schools in Montclair, and graduated from Tufts University in Medford, MA with a triple major in French, Child Study and Education. She moved to the Northern Virginia area in 1973 and taught elementary school (kindergarten and fourth grade) for three years.
Deborah has 35 successful years of experience and listing Northern Virginia homes, land and small commercial properties. She is especially adept in assisting buyers who are relocating from outside the Washington, DC metropolitan area and has a Relocation Specialist designation from National Association of Realtors. In addition, she has studied with the Trust for Historic Preservation and has a passion for historic properties and architecture. Deborah has nationwide and worldwide affiliates to assist her clientele. Having obtained NAR's Resort and Second Home Specialist Designation , Debbie is able to assist clients who may wish to ease into retirement or just have a second residence away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! In 2011 another designation will be complete: Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS). Look for updates on international real estate during 2011. As a former elementary school teacher, Debbie has maintained her rapport with the public schools by occasionally substitute teaching. This provides a way to stay current on school and community issues. Debbie balances her life by playing violin, cello and piano. As an avid music lover, she plays cello with the McLean (VA) Symphony and in the summers has played in pops concerts with the Annandale (VA) Symphony. She also enjoys informally playing violin with a string trio and with string quartets both in Virginia and Florida. Dedicated to her profession, Debbie has taught real estate classes to new, mostly second career agents and has coordinated information seminars and sales meetings in her branch office of Long and Foster Realtors in McLean, VA. To stay in shape, Debbie enjoys rollerblading, walking or biking through the pretty Northern Virginia towns and countryside. Deborah lives in the delightful Town of Vienna with her husband, Bill.

Deborah Larson is pleased to announce the association of her daughter, Adrienne Alexander to her real estate team as of April 2011. Adrienne graduated from Wellesley College and subsequently obtained an MBA from George Washington University. She is an accountant by profession and brings not only those skills, but excellent business skills and positive personality to the real estate business. Welcome, Adrienne!
